Day Twenty One: Coming from the Place of the Heart

Day Twenty One: Coming from the Place of the Heart

21-Day Intentional Social Media Challenge

21 days went by really fast—or really slow depending which day you asked me on. When I started this idea to positively change social media, I was coming from a place of discouragement, hurt and sadness. I needed to move out of my mind and the anxiety I had and into my heart space. What better way to do that, than focus on all the good and positive things that were out there? So really this challenge was developed because i NEEDED something to keep me moving forward. And you know what? It worked.

Everyday I made an effort (for at least the length of time it took me to write the article) to move into my heart space and out of my head. I would sit and ask myself, “What do I need to hear today? What do I need to know?” and then I would begin writing.

The painting by Crystal Mays was used to represent this challenge. It ended up being so 100% completely appropriate to what was happening over the 21 day journey for myself. When I look at it, I see a person tapped into their intuition and moving into the place of the heart. The focus is not on the mind but at what the heart and only the heart can provide. When we make decisions from this heart space, they are not made out of fear or anger. They are made from compassion and love and empathy. These are the kinds of decisions and the kind of life we can build on.

So what does this mean for you? It doesn’t mean you have to write or meditate or whatever for 21 days. It’s not about the number of days. It’s about answering the call to what YOU need in order to move into your heart space. Only you and your heart know the answer to that.

Looking beyond the 21 days, I am going to keep providing articles and insight that come from my heart space. Information that i need to know to heal and move forward.  My hope is that it will also help you move into your heart space. Please continue with me on this journey. I can't wait to see where it takes us.
