Celebrate the Mess: Weekly Reading

Celebrate the Mess

Weekly Reading

April 17, 2017

Sorghaghtani Reversed, Three of Cups, Ace of Swords

I am hyper aware of my flaws and my short comings. Someone gives me a compliment and I have to fight the urge to say “Thank you…but…”. No matter how hard I try as a mother, at the end of the day I find myself thinking, “I could’ve done so much better. I should’ve done this instead. I should’ve had more patience.” When asked to think about my past or stroll down memory lane, my mind immediately goes to the not so stellar moments and choices I made. We can be so critical of ourselves and what we consider to be our weaknesses or flaws. We focus on them with a sense of loss, sadness, and defeat. However, we don’t have to be uncomfortable with these moments and challenges. We need to embrace them and give gratitude to them. Yep, that’s right—this week Spirit wants you to celebrate those flaws.

Celebrate what we perceive to be bad? Yes. What we think to be errors in judgement and mistakes or shortcomings, Spirit sees as opportunities to gain wisdom and insight. They are gifts. They are not mistakes. They allow us to see the Truth of who we are. They allow us to grow. They allow us to understand more about the world that surrounds us. They allow us to move forward, if we don’t let them hold us back and we choose learn from them

So, this week, throw a party for the hot mess that is you. Celebrate your life. Revel in the joy and amazement of how far you have come. Give gratitude for these challenging moments and those ugly mistakes for they make up the beautiful tapestry of your being!

Decks used today were the Mother's Wisdom Deck by Niki Dewart, Elizabeth Marglin & Jenny Kostecki-Shaw and the Golden Tarot of Klimt by Lo Scarabeo.
